Located in western Gwinnett County, Lilburn was first inhabited by the Lower Creek Indian tribe who used it mostly for hunting. Today, the population is well contained to 11,000.
“Old Town Lilburn” features shops of antiques and crafts in buildings reminiscent of a bygone era. It is also the hometown of Major League baseball player, Jeff Francoeur. Because most areas have already been developed, the current population is not expected to dramatically increase in the foreseeable future. This will maintain its small-town feel for its hospitable residents.
